The IML Tools let you write your own data acquisition routines. The programming tools take care of all the hardware tasks, leaving you free to concentrate on your applications. These applications can be re-used with different instruments and devices.
Amongst other things, the Tools let you quickly configure the hardware, take a reading from an input channel and write a value to an output channel. They do this by providing methods and functions you can include in your macros and programs.
The package includes:
- the Windmill data acquisition software suite with logging, charting and output control programs;
- the COMIML serial driver to communicate with almost any serial device over RS-232, RS-422, RS-485 or Modbus
- the IML Tools: Active X control for Visual Basic, Javascript, Excel, etc.

Supports Vast Range of Hardware
You use the Tools in conjuction with Windmill's instrument and device drivers. These let you communicate with a wide range of instruments and devices from many manufacturers. This package includes the COMIML driver to handle RS232, RS485, RS422 and Modbus devices.
