Comparison of USB Units for Data Acquisition and Control

Windmill's 700 Series of data acquisition and control units plug into the USB socket of a PC. They are extremely easy to use, but should you have any problems we provide free technical support for life. Each USB unit is supplied with Windows data acquisition software: Streamer for high speed applications (up to 100 kHz) or Windmill for lower speeds. Notes

• The analogue inputs of the Windmill 750 are single-ended. All others are differential. If you wish you can use the differential voltage inputs in single-ended mode, giving twice the number of inputs (32). See Issue 11 of our Monitor newsletter for a discussion of single-ended and differential inputs.
• All figures are given for the maximum number of inputs or outputs. In the Windmill 752-RTD, for example, if you were monitoring 8 RTDs you wouldn't be able to monitor 8 additional resistances.
• All units are supplied with Windmill software. The 770 additionally includes the Streamer transient capture module.
• Where the table says "with 59x unit", you need to buy an extra unit of hardware to use in that manner. For example, to use the 751-SG with thermocouples you have to add a 593 isothermal box.
